This Sunday, we continued our study in Galatians, exploring God’s unchanging vision for humanity: to bring people from every tribe, nation, and tongue back home into His family. From the Garden of Eden to Abraham, through the coming of Christ and the growth of the Church, we traced the story of God’s plan to restore His relationship with humanity. Rather than motivating us primarily through guilt, fear, or a list of rules, God calls us forward with a vision of life with Him—a vision that should inspire us to follow Him and extend His love to others.
We also considered how voluntary self-sacrifice demonstrates genuine love. Just as Christ laid down His life for us, the Church is called to carry the gospel into the world through faithful, sacrificial love. As we turn to Galatians 5, we are reminded that the Christian life is not simply about avoiding wrongdoing, but about allowing the Spirit to shape our hearts and direct our lives toward God’s purposes.
This message reminds us that:
- God’s original plan has always been to bring humanity into His family and restore us to our true home with Him.
- A compelling vision of God’s purposes motivates us more deeply than guilt, fear, or rules alone.
- Genuine love requires freedom, devotion, and a willingness to sacrifice for others.
- The Church advances God’s mission by sharing the gospel and demonstrating the self-giving love of Christ.
- Walking in the Spirit means choosing love over fear and focusing on serving others rather than living for ourselves.
Join us for worship, prayer, and a powerful reminder that God’s vision has always been to bring His family home—and that He calls each of us to participate in that mission through faith, love, and voluntary self-sacrifice.
